TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
